MASK
The author has often painted human faces in their work, both with masks and without, believing that even in everyday life, people wear masks that do not cover their true personalities. The author learned mask-making techniques at Connecticut University, where they studied under Bart. P. Roccoberton, Jr. They created their "WIND" mask using rough burlap fabric and also made other masks using plaster casts of their own face. They also learned traditional Venetian mask-making techniques and had the opportunity to work with new materials. Roccoberton emphasized the importance of individuality in mask-making, noting that masks can reveal unique qualities even without knowing the person behind the mask.
